Community Care

The LASA Community Care team provides information and resource development across a range of issues affecting Community Care providers including:
  • The Aged Care Reform
  • Commonwealth Home Support Program
  • Home Care Quality Standards
  • Home Care Package Transition
  • Community Directed Care (CDC)
  • Veterans Programs
  • Queensland Community Care Program

The team also maintains strong and effective communication with both State and Federal Governments to ensure key issues affecting Queensland providers are raised and addressed. The team is guided by the LASA Community Care Committee in determining issues. Critical matters are shared with a National Community Care Advisory Group for discussion and debate and referral to Federal Government.

LASA represents Community Care members within its membership of the National Aged Care Alliance, specifically the:

  • NACA Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) working group
  • NACA Home Care Packages (CDC) Working Group
  • NACA Gateway Working Group

In 2016 LASA members received discounted rates for LASA events, seminars, workshops and wide range of related industry information and attended Regional Meetings.
